Nexus Veterinary Specialists is thrilled to welcome Dr. Cara Steele to the Nexus family. As a Board-Certified Veterinary Internist, Dr. Steele has dedicated her career to the well-being of animals and the pursuit of excellence in Clinical Care. Dr. Steele is leading the opening of the Nexus Veterinary Internal Medicine Center-- Baltimore's new hub for advanced diagnostics and the treatment of diseases in dogs & cats. Many Veterinarians in the Baltimore area know Dr. Steele for her expertise and her compassion for the health and comfort of her patients-- Starting Spring 2022, Dr. Steele will be providing Internal Medicine services with Nexus Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Steele grew up in the Boston area. She attended veterinary school at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, graduating in 2015. She completed a one year rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA followed by residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Steele enjoys all aspects of internal medicine but has specific interests in gastroenterology, feline medicine, immune-mediated, and infectious diseases.
Outside of work, Dr. Steele enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, crochet, and other craft projects.
